will king 0 Posted February 21, 2007 Shot taken on an early morning with very thick fog. Comments and feedback welcomed. Link to comment
ewert02 0 Posted February 21, 2007 Superb shot, Will. I love the clean foggy background and the still reflection of the dock in the water. I wish there was not quite so big a contrast in lighting from the upper corners going in, but this is still a marvelous shot. Link to comment
hannahthiem 0 Posted February 21, 2007 enjoying the clean lines, the mystical/dreamy quality of this moment in time. There's a nice contrast of light and dark in this, capturing the extension into nothingness. I also would like to see less contrast in the sky...either tone down the middle portion of the sky/horizon, or lighten the corners. Link to comment
fotofrog 0 Posted February 21, 2007 Awesome picture, very surreal. The starkness is great. Love the reflections too. I would agree with previous comments though, tone down the middle section. Link to comment

fergi 0 Posted February 21, 2007 Simple, stark, stunning. As if it could go on and on. A matte finish produced by nature. Almost reminds me of the aviary scene in Jurassic Park 3. Very nice. fergi Link to comment
patflynn 0 Posted February 21, 2007 it's a great concept and I think a lot of people would buy this print, especially in b&w. The one thing that jars me a little is the sharpness throughout the pier. In fog, the far end should be softer. Stunning simplicity though. Link to comment
will king 0 Posted February 21, 2007 Thanks all for your kind words and feedback. Patrick, you make a valid point regarding the sharpness of the pier. The lack of softness of the fog is actually due to jpg conpression. The full size tiff actually displays the fog very soft. Thanks again for your thoughts. Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted February 22, 2007 I love how this seems to go out into nowhere and the reflection is into nothing. It is just a wonderful ABSTRACT as well as a landscape picture. The browns and blacks and grey/blues are just gorgeous and you set the frame just perfect (I hate big gaudy frames). This a wonderful picture of a simple pier and I love it :) ~ micki (sorry aka Fergi's wife) Link to comment
