dennisdixson 0 Posted February 19, 2007 (Neil Young - Down By The River) This is a photo about nothing in particular, in fact it is five photos about nothing. I had it in mind to take a panorama over the weekend and this is the the result of my misconceived efforts. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted February 21, 2007 Another trick I haven't mastered, stitching photos together to form a panorama, which you seem to have done very well here. Just like when I was a kid, my yo-yo mastery never went much farther than "the sleeper" and "walk the dog", tricks any third grader could do with their eyes closed, while my brother was wowing the crowd with "over the falls" and "rock the baby". Fast forward 100 years or so and I find myself in the same elemental leaky rowboat while fellow photogs zip by on jet skis and flashy yachts that cost a bazillion dollars. I look up at them whistfully, techno-dweeb to the very end. Link to comment
dennisdixson 0 Posted February 21, 2007 Don't confuse "tricks" with talent. ;-) Stitching these photos together makes my computer grind and churn like an old upright washing machine. And yes, it did just occur to me that no one knows what I am talking about. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted March 1, 2007 Your gestation period for the production of new photographs is now approaching that of the elephant. Link to comment
mg 0 Posted March 1, 2009 I like your angle, here: it makes this place look a lot more interesting than it probably was. I deally, I guess I'd have prefered the two central electric poles to be a little more to the picture's left, but I can't tell from my chair whether the rest of the composition would have suffered a lot from such an attempt or not...:-) Cheers.
