This photo is the result of some downtime during a service trip to New Orleans.

I used a cheap olympus D-560 for this photo because I didn't want to worry about my nikon or roliflex while I was on the trip. Used photoshop 7.0 for effects. I hope it looks alright on the web because I had to resize it and convert the colors.

Charles,

Welcome to PN. I like the choice of eye color. It fits the mood, especially in the 9th ward. I appreciate the addition of color to the B/W shot. The mood is repressed; unsure if it will be laughter or sadness. The face and hand covering it belies the truth. We can only speculate. Wonderful composition, great DOF, and overall use of the setting sun as your light. If your future work is like this, you will have a great portfolio.
