hey micheal: I like this photo...i think the unusual lighting first caught my attention, but I realize after looking at it for a bit that it is the subject that holds my attention. I guess the point it regardless of how well we light a portrait, an interesting subject will make or break it. ken

Michael, the reflection off of the glasses frames is by far the brightest element of this image, second is the reflection off the button. Much of the portrait is lost in shadow. The composition is effective in some respects but these reflections dominate quite strongly and they may not be what you want your viewer to see foremost. Just an observation. Cheers.
