blackdogstudio 1 Posted February 18, 2007 Excellent composition, my dear friend. The black background as you know is a favourite for me. Beautiful model!!! Hope to see more photos of her soon - then again, maybe you've posted others already!!! The over the shoulder look is elegantly foiled by the beautiful locks of hair, creating an exquisite mystery. The directional light does lovely things to the fabric falling off her shoulder, creating great image depth. Elegant use of two lights!!! Catalin, since you have joined Photo.net, you have been my biggest advocate in terms of making sure that my work was rated fairly, and for that you are owed my eternal gratitude. You have made me many friends!!! Was hoping to beat you to it with a dedication of my own for you, to thank you for your kindness, but you've got there first. Thanks again my dear friend. This honour is deeply appreciated. Regards. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 18, 2007 I love your work Kelvin! This is a stage shot, I've been using a Canon 300d with a 70-200 that was not mine! I love it and that is why I have deticated it to You. Best regards, Catalin Link to comment

mary fran 0 Posted February 19, 2007 Bravo Catalin on two counts. Wonderful use of light on yet another beautifully rendered image and for recognizing another artist from whom you have drawn inspiration. I've come to believe that light is the photographers paint brush, and both you and Kelvin have masterfully demonstrated its use. If you have time, please visit another friends portfolio, another I know you'll appreciate as a master of light who has succumbed to the worms and is leaving the site. I wish only more members would do what you have here both in recognizing and supporting fellow artists and aptly highlighting the short comings of the rating system. Thank you Catalin. http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5562703 Link to comment

richard hans 0 Posted February 19, 2007 Catalin, I do believe a very difficult exposure situation you handled perfectly, great spot for stage action, managed to freeze the moment with natural light & expression!!! Best regards 8/8 Link to comment
petespositives 0 Posted February 19, 2007 Hi Catalin! 'Deep' and 'Meaningful' would be two words to start an appreciation of this photograph - both for its purpose and its self. Beyond that... I'm lost! More please! Link to comment
