jfrey43 0 Posted February 19, 2007 Looking for Honest Comments/Critiques/Ratings...the colors in this shot were enhanced through Photoshop... Link to comment
petespositives 0 Posted February 19, 2007 This work is doing very nicely, thank you. If you are willing to consider another WEE change I'd look at bringing the horizon onto the horizontal - the slight tilt to the left at the moment is a tiny bit distracting. Link to comment
mferencz8 0 Posted February 19, 2007 Beautiful colors. Nice adjustment from original post. Link to comment
jfrey43 0 Posted February 20, 2007 Redone again fixing the slight horizon line tilt... Link to comment

margaret1 0 Posted February 24, 2007 I love the feel of the water in this . The sky seems almost a tad too blue for the shades in the body of water. It is beautiful overall. Great job. Link to comment
tereay 0 Posted February 27, 2007 Hi Jeff, beautiful work, but have to agree with Margaret, the sea color is a bit odd when looking at the dazzling blue sky. Otherwise, the dramatic clouds go well with the roaring waves against the shore. Link to comment
jfrey43 0 Posted February 27, 2007 Thanks for your comments everyone. To Margaret and Teresa, I see what you're saying but this is Lake Erie, a somewhat muddy dirty lake....so the lake coloring is quite accurate believe it or not. I did use a little more saturation in the sky to deepen the colors as well. I do appreciate all the ratings and comments though!!! Thank you all! Link to comment
thescriptkiddie 0 Posted March 1, 2007 That is definately an accurate image of the lake, I agree with you on that Jeff. The colors are very sharp and defined which provides a stark contrast between the land, the lake, and the sky. Great shot! Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted March 28, 2007 Jeff, A couple of other things that elevate this composition are: the desired 'S' curve formed by the foreground foam & tree line and the fact that there are interesting patterns in both the sky and the lake. Did I mention the sidelighting? One can sense the bright but windy day. Go easy on the saturation adjustment or any PS adjustment for that matter. Any manipulation should be transparent, that is, subtle, not obvious. Best, LM. Link to comment

margaret1 0 Posted June 5, 2007 I understand what you are saying. There are scenes where I live that look totally wrong, and that's before I even photograph them! Link to comment
sf711 0 Posted February 7, 2008 i missed this the first time thru. great shot, the whitecaps and the sky really bring drama to this shot. Link to comment
JPPhoto1664880217 7 Posted August 8, 2008 Excellent image. Remember that an image does not need to be accurate to be a good work of art. Jim Phelps Link to comment
