A composite image of a Nieuport 28 (94th Fighter Sqdn) getting the

better of a Fokker Triplane - all photographs of full-size replicas

currently flying in Canada. Your comments appreciated.

Another great shot, Pat. I love your "re"-compositions. You obviously have a great eye for this kind of thing and I really like the way you blend photos together to produce classic looking shots. Beautiful!

As an image, possibly your best yet! Everything about this one is spot on, especially the slight suggestion of land at the bottom right. Brilliant.

Having looked at some contemporary photographs now realise that the wind-driven generator on the u/c strut is a later add-on. Should have checked before finishing the pic and have amended it on the 'master' in the archives.

Thanks for the encouragement (Jeffrey and Alex) - good to know other people get some pleasure out of my efforts. Like the term 're'composition, much more elegant than the ugly word composite, thanks. Pat.

I just watched the movie "Flyboys" last night and this could be a shot right out of the movie. Great work. dS

Very good, Pat. One of your most convincing.

While you're removing the generator, be sure to clip the wheel off of that tail skid as well.

August, 'clipped' as discussed and a wee touch of levels. Reworked version appended. Thanks to all for your most encouraging comments. Pat

Really fine work on the tweak, Pat. This one is just convincing and beautiful in every respect. I'd be proud to have a 16x20 of it on my wall.

August, thanks for the positive comment. Will be glad to let you have print when they become available in the near future. We (Jim and I) will be at the Columbus, Ohio 'do' at the end of September and would be able to meet you if you were to be there - other than that I can arrange for a print via Jim - can check addresses etc via e-mail. We (the clan) hope to have a web-site up and operational in the near future where all of our 'stuff' can be seen. Regards and genuine thanks for all your input, Pat.
