I love this shot but I think it is a pity that u took him off the original background. Id very much Like to see the original picture if you have it available. The composition of the shot is gorgeous Im just not a fan of the black background the way it was done. on the shot itself though magnificent its just the cropping I am not a fan of

Agreed.. the compositing job was obvious to me the second I opened the page.. especially around the upraised paw (it's left paw) and along much of the water.

 

I guess it all comes down to each persons definition of "much editing"
