dougbostrom 0 Posted February 15, 2007 Please give me any comments on this photo. I have modified the colorsa little bit in photoshop but it is basically as it was shot on film. I used a Diana plastic camera with this image using color print film. Link to comment
allen_r1 0 Posted February 15, 2007 Amazing photo. I can't believe how much it resembles a painting or sculpture. Great lighting. Well done Link to comment
danbliss 0 Posted February 15, 2007 I think the boston museum of fine arts must be missing one of its 17th century paintings. This is wonderfully conceived and executed. Well done. Dan Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted February 16, 2007 I do like the image. It has a lovely mood about it. I note that it was taken over 7 years ago. The 7 years is significant but I won't say why. Link to comment

bgw 0 Posted February 17, 2007 Beautiful image and very thought provoking. It seems to be full of mythological allusions. perfect execution. Link to comment
re_photography 0 Posted February 18, 2007 This photo, especially with the slightly yellowed toning imediately suggests classical paintings. As someone mentioned mythological themes are implied. The styling is very natural and so well executed that it evokes a painting without having any sort of digital filtering to intensional imply such an intent. If and when I take nudes, this is is something to aspire to, and I cannot think of much of a better compliment for a photo. (I think that at this point in my career/experience I would be to timid to suggest the idea to models.)I said that the photo was "timely" not to suggest that it looks old, but rather because yesterday I went to the Peter O'Toole film "Venus," at the Avon Cinema in Providence, RI. Guest Guest Posted August 12, 2007 You've managed to capture Italian renaissance in a photo. I'm impressed! Reminds me of Bouguereau: http://www.artchive.com/artchive/b/bouguereau/bouguereau_venus.jpg One thing tho, the figure at the left seems a bit more rigid and less *part of the air* than the others.
