eyes on asia 0 Posted February 12, 2007 The image taken in China shows in parts of one of the deepest Gorges in the world and its eroded sourroundings. One of the most impressive places i've seen in my life. Any comments are appreciated. Link to comment
Dennis Newman 0 Posted February 12, 2007 It's a nice scene, and I can see why you wanted to take the photo, but I don't see a focal point. I took a quick look at the other photos in this folder, and they all had a stronger sense of design. Link to comment
lanemoss 0 Posted February 12, 2007 beautiful scene. My eyes, however, are drawn immediately to your siganture in the top right. Maybe make that a hair smaller as to not distract from your wonderful capture! Link to comment
eyes on asia 0 Posted February 12, 2007 @ dennis Thanks for your thoughts, but i'm afraid I lost you there in your argumentation with the focal point. Link to comment
eyes on asia 0 Posted February 12, 2007 @ lane I'm afraid you have a point there ;-).. still i would not change it. I have introduced the signature mostly for copyright reasons to protect the images from abuse. Any better Ideas to do that? Link to comment
Dennis Newman 0 Posted February 13, 2007 On your bicycle scene in Vientiane, you write that your girlfriend says she didn't know where to rest her eyes. That's how I feel about this scene. There's no center of interest for me to rest my eyes. Link to comment
eyes on asia 0 Posted February 13, 2007 Thanks Dennis. I know what you mean now and I agree with you. I could see another take with a car on the street , or something that leads you and makes you rest. On the other hand I like the fact that the eyes constantly wanders in this picture, as I feel its not a peacefull landscape at all. Its a place full of unrest and constant erosion. On rainy days the roads have to be closed off, because of frequent landslides. Link to comment
lanemoss 0 Posted February 21, 2007 I understand your dilema what with the copyright and all! And no, i really don't have any ideas other than just tweak the opacity or something... This is the first time i have looked at this photo since my last comment, and may i just say again that it really is an excellent picture! Absolutely beautiful! Link to comment
