stephenfenech 0 Posted February 8, 2007 This photograph of my two sons was taken at home using sun light coming through the front door to our house. I had borrowed the Nikon camera from a friend at work. Atlhough taken in colour, this image was converted to grayscale in PS. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 8, 2007 I think it's a terrific shot, especially technically. It conveys so much drama. The eyes in both cases are amazing and mezmerizing. I only have one hesitation. Is it possible that it's too dramatic for such young boys? I wonder if this isn't a more appropriate feel for teenagers or even 20-somethings. It seems almost to make them appear too mature. I lose a sense of their youthful innocence. My opinion only of course. And notwithstanding that opinion, you've done a really fine job! Link to comment
stephenfenech 0 Posted February 8, 2007 Thank you very much Fred for the comments submitted. I totally agree with your views. After taking several similar shots, the boys started to lose patience and so hence the look on their faces. Add to this, the sun on their faces was getting to be rather annoying. A couple of minutes earlier, they were laughing their heads off at my attempts to get them to settle down!!! Link to comment

gerfoy3 0 Posted September 3, 2007 I love the atmosphere created by this shot. There is an element of truth in what my friend Fred has said but I suppose it depends on what you are trying to convey with the image...I would love to have an image with such dramatic feelings in my portfolio.
