jeremey 0 Posted February 8, 2007 Critiques/comments requested... and apologies to Mac users, I'm guessing photo.net strips color profiles, so this may appear a little washed out. Thanks, Jeremey. Link to comment
anthonyd 0 Posted February 8, 2007 I like this one. It's simple and clean. However, your comment made me curious so PS'd it to see what I thought. I like it both ways actually. -Anthony Link to comment
glenn norris 0 Posted February 8, 2007 Your work with the model is superb! Your presentation is a little confusing though, as far as composition goes... were you trying to present a barren/futuristic/abstract beautiful-model-in-a-bleak-environment kind of image? Otherwise I would think you would crop the right and a little of the top so that she is not perfectly centered. All said though, the image works for me (just wish I knew a little more about your intent here...) Link to comment
jeremey 0 Posted February 8, 2007 Hi Glenn, my intent was definitely a simple, sparse image that focused on lighting and contours, and I really wanted the model smack dab in the middle (I built the lighting around that idea). My original vision for the shoot is captured in "Focus" (I just posted it), which is even more centered and symmetrical, but I had the model let her hair down and she turned and that really brought out her facial features in a different way, so I ran with it. I think I prefer this one. Thanks! Link to comment
djthomas 0 Posted February 8, 2007 I like this photo too. On a personal level, I would like to see this head pose with the eyes looking into the lens (much like the other portrait of this model). Nice job. Link to comment
glenn norris 0 Posted February 8, 2007 Thanks for the explanation, and for showing me the other shot. I think you are right that this one works much, much better; the diagonal sweep of her hair hanging loosely is what catches my eye first. I do not agree with above, that the model should be looking at the camera - I think her listless gaze to the side is consistent with the style of your image here. Enough said then - excellent work and I wish you the best! Glenn Link to comment
