It is just that given the lighting and the time you have to shoot before the mother duck goes nuts because you are too close, a huge aperture was pretty much my only option. Maybe in the future I'll try to dial up my ISO a bit to get more DOF. Most of the shots from this day ended up with blurring anyway from movement and slow shutter speed. james_dickinson 0 Posted March 28, 2007 Hiya I reckon you're better sticking with the shallow depth of field and low ISO. High noise is so frustrating when it encroaches on feather detail - it becomes impossible to remove. I think the DOF works perfectly on this picture. Keep up the good work. James Link to comment
