Beautiful treatment of this subject. The photo would not work nearly as well if the stamen shadows had fallen outside of the lit area. Cheers.

I like the idea of this and the fact it's in b&w. For me, it's the shadows of the very sharp stamens that make the image. But I feel there's a bit too much heavy shadow on the left, which looks like it's blocking the left side of the flower rather than fading in. Cropping the left to eliminate the bit of petal showing at the left edge, making it a vertical format, I think would make it look less obtrusive. Just a thought.

Stiu ce greu este sa faci o astfel de imagine dar sa fie si asa frumoasa si echilibrata si originala este si mai greu. Dar ai reusit un DOF extrordinar si o lumina incredibila. Nu ma lasa soft-ul sa-ti dau 7 dar meriti pe deplin.

A really beautiful image... very delicate and intime. But I'm agree with Hanna about hard shadow in the left side... I would try to get a bit more of light, just a bit... enough to guess the shape of the petal, the composition would be more interesting and powerful... because you already chose the right compo. Anyway, a very unique image and a really nice B&W. Congratulations
