hi there my freind, this is a very fine one, what i really love is the lighting in the eyes, makes it great looking, that is the first thing that draws my eye to the image beside the scary looks of it especially the ribs shown across its body:)

nice work, i like the head being on the left side too, regards ,RK!

The eyes on this gecko really fascinate me. This particular one had much larger eyes than the other members of it's species available at the time in the "zoo". This was shot sometimes in the summer of 2005, accidentally at ISO 1600!

Cheers.

I'm not usually drawn to animal shots, but this has heart, soul, incredible color, and tells a fantastic tale. Absolutely beautiful.

You should go straight to the highest level with that picture. The lighting (and backlighting onto the neck and eyes) is divine, the subject is stupendous, definitely anything but boring, the posture is engaging, the composition is optmized and graceful. It's flawless and it's very interesting at the same time. I feel humbled with my own skill but not jealous, just admirative.

I am always amazed by the striking bold colours that you used for your images that are so eye catching. This alien like gecko is superberly composed, crawling quietly towards its goal & its eyes really look scary( We do not have geckos in the zoo. How I wish we had.)

Yikes! The perspective gives this such impact, exceptional detail, DOF, and color as usual Cyrus, but the perspective is perfection for impact. Awesome capture.

very edgy. pushing the envelope on this one Cyrus! Did you add blur to the top half of the background?

The eyes are interesting, but I like the orginal best. Looks like something from a Sci-Fi movie.

Congrats on the ratings and very nice photo. Is that creature really the Purple People Eater?

Glad you're back to thrill us with these terrific shots. Looks like you were nose to nose when you took this shot. Great perspective, color, background. The eyes are amazing, as others have stated. Wish you could remove those two tiny burn outs there. Regards!
