cyrus khamak 0 Posted February 2, 2007 I think I'm going to keep this Dragon for a while. It's maturing into a very beautiful, well behaved and colorful male Chinese Water Dragon. Took a break from work the other day and let him loose on peices of fabric. I'm not sure, I hope you like it. Cheers. Link to comment
rafikrkamel 1 Posted February 2, 2007 Hi again freind, this is the best chamelon shot i have seen from you cyrus, things that i really like: 1. the lovely light in the eyes showing that hazel color of the eyes. 2. diagonal composition in the frame. 3. details of the lizard's skin, especially face and back neck 4. colors here are lovely, first i had mixed feeling about tve violet at the far back left of the frame but then i got used to it. i was thinking how would yellow fit in the bg lovely shot my freind , great work, was this shot with the tamron? coz i know that the tamron has a max aperture of f/3.5 regards cyrus, RK! cyrus khamak 0 Posted February 2, 2007 Thank you so much for the detailed comment my friend. You know, I had just shot this the other day and wasn't sure. So I E-mailed it to Maggie, MM meehan, and this is exactly what she said about all what you have just mentioned about the eye, the skin and the background, Great minds must think alike!! About a yellow backround instead of purple, well, I'll try that too sometimes soon. Thanks again, Cheers. Link to comment
cyrus khamak 0 Posted February 2, 2007 Forgot to answer your question. The exif data did not belong to this shot. This was actually shot at ISo 400 at F19. The shutter speed was 1/180. Link to comment
mmmee 0 Posted February 3, 2007 :) the yellow background sounds interesting. F 19?? hmmmmmmmmm From the email... "Your dragon is wonderful, really. The catch light in its eye brings it to life. The colors are incredible. The detail superb. I like the diagonal lines, too. What's its name? Do you have more than one of them... like maybe a breeding pair? They are cute. I have some European wall lizards in my front garden. no where near as colorful and I only see them in the summer if they are out sunning. I have some little garden snakes, too, but have no pictures of them yet. " Link to comment
mary fran 0 Posted February 3, 2007 Beautifully done, the eye and the texture/colors of his skin against the red are what I find most striking. Like the background colors here, as they seem to have an opposing balance. I'm thinking yellow where the purple is might be too close to the gold and yellow on his side. Link to comment
