an interested subject rendered in a bland, snapshot fashion. The centered subject is too far away, the horizon line appears tilted. You should really move in on an interesting object like this and shoot quite a few shots from different angles. When you have a huge blank sky like this, using a polarizer doesn't help-- there is nothing to see there anyway. move in and fill the frame with the subject.

It's is pity that jerks like you do not post their own photographs. You belong to the club of scumbags who are keenly aware of their own inadequacies and failures and tries to feel good by senseless criticisms of other's work.

beel - why the anger at randall? from what i can tell, his posts are honest and show quite a bit of knowledge on technique and equipment. he doesn't say he can do better, and who knows, maybe he can't (my feeling is he makes money at this, so he has his reasons for not posting his images). but the fact remains that the advice and critiques themselves are indeed sound. is there something personal that i'm missing? did he hurt your feelings in the past? oh....i just looked at your extensive postings of images...care to explain yourself?

as for the shot, my feeling is that a level horizon would be nice, and some more dramatic lighting (evening) would help tons.

I'd like to see this in b&w. A little more foreground might work, with less of the sky, to give some depth. Otherwise, you are doing great work, especially considering your age. If you keep this up, you'll be quite famous by the time you're an adult! Try not to let negative comments hurt your feelings, but instead, learn from what others say. The main thing is to please yourself first because you likely will never make an image that everyone will love, but you can come close.
