1000wordsphotography 0 Posted April 19, 2002 She should be happy, it is a great shot! Any tips for us novices on how to get a great portrait? My family HATES to sit still for a photo. I have 3 handsome sons who could be models but they hate to have their pic done! Link to comment
cedric 0 Posted April 19, 2002 Good shot indeed. I would however crop the area over her head which distracts quite a bit. But it's a good shot. Link to comment
bob stewart jacksonville 0 Posted April 19, 2002 nice shot. Like the soft feel from good light and an open aperture. I wouldn't crop the area above her head now.I agree its slightly distracting. Slight camera angle change taking the photo would have eliminated it. But I think cropping it now would hurt the proportions of the picture. You could always clone it out. Link to comment
rick vincent 1 Posted April 19, 2002 Not one of those fake, "Say cheese" portrait smiles. Captures a real emotion of happiness. More and more I find that portrait photographers best shots are coming from shots that were taken outside the planned photo shoot...candids...or, hey look over here, SNAP! I've got some baby and kid shots that turned out the same way..the best ones are also unplanned. Link to comment
