s_williams 0 Posted October 4, 2007 Hi Katherine, I returned to your gallery to view the industry/nature series, and this image jumped out at me. Stunning! Then, I read the title, Anatomy, and saw what appears to be a tubular truss structure, which gives the image a spinal quality. And the whispy brush of light in the upper right hand corner provides just the right level of energy. Inspiring! -Steve Link to comment
katherineerickson 0 Posted October 4, 2007 Yes, this image just might poke you in the eye if you stand to close. The tubular bars are the base of the pyramid structure on the CSULB campus. The yellow fabric and nipple like tip is actually a patio umbrella that I layered on top of the tubular truss as you call it. I called it anatomy, although a more appropo title might have been "Mechanical Breast" which also speaks to several societal issues around youth and beauty. You see, there really is some thought and meaning behind my work. Thanks Again, Katherine Link to comment
