darinheinz 0 Posted January 30, 2007 Sebastian: This image is absolutely first-rate. I am curious about which modifications were done to the original to yield this result. Since I can't really pinpoint anything, it is safe to say you did a good job with the manipulation. The branches' movement adds a dreamlike, almost impressionistic quality to the image, in contrast to the overall sharpness and (possible?) use of hyperfocal distance to maximize depth of field. Although I don't normally favor a camera viewpoint 5 feet or so above the ground, it works in this case to allow the viewer to experience the image, to become a participant instead of an observer. Exposure looks perfect, composition is outstanding. The repeated image of cobblestones, tables, and windows keep the eye moving, engaging the viewer in the scene. Great work! Link to comment
