mary fran 0 Posted January 30, 2007 I don't know the name of this bush, grows wild here, but it has buds that look like little flowers all winter. Left the upper right in focus bud in case someone can identify the bush. It's about 10 feet high. Link to comment

mary fran 0 Posted January 30, 2007 Thank you Rafik, no flash. I have yet to be successful with a flash, a bit frustrating. If the light is low I usually quit shooting which is a shame because we get a lot of cloudy days. I did a little levels adjustment on this, just pulled the ends closer to the center of the histogram. These fella's are tough with their dark heads and light "bottoms". Personally would reverse them if I could :) Link to comment
armpro 0 Posted January 31, 2007 Exceptional capture of a very small bird. I like the way the color in the background makes him/her "pop." Link to comment
therese 0 Posted January 31, 2007 I like way the branches frame the bird and the bits of yellow from the buds add more to the framing effect with their contrasting color. I agree the bird really does "pop" out. I like the engaging look in his eye. It's almost as if he is reminding the viewer of a mutual secret. Fun. Link to comment
