I'm not sure exactly. It's near the 76 gas station. There's a pretty big parking lot there.

Was it in Haleiwa town? Possibly Ali'i Beach?

Maybe a mile east of Haleiwa. It seemed like a popular spot. I can post more shots of the same location, later tonight.

Either Waimea Bay or just west of there at the first turn-out past the horse ranch? What lens do you use on this?

100-400mm on my 20D.

I met a photographer by the name David Croxie. He had a Cannon with a 600 mm coupled with a 1.7 and a 2x teleconverters... Really has some nice shots on his website. Nice dude....

I see you used the 100-400 -- what about the details -- focal length, shutter speed, etc.? Nice shots!
