drache 0 Posted January 29, 2007 On an early summer morning in front of the city of Dresden, Germany. Scan from negative. Thank you for your reviews! Link to comment
John Peri 1,039 Posted January 29, 2007 A very interesting photo that contrasts beautifully with the background. A few inches stepped to the right may have allowed for her hair to separate from the buildng behind, but it's just a detail. Excellent work. Link to comment
lightworks 0 Posted January 29, 2007 Very nice composition - just what early mornings are meant for! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted January 30, 2007 It's funny when someone points something out to you, you can't help but notice. I like this image but John is correct and now it is all I can see. Link to comment
drache 0 Posted January 30, 2007 Thank you very much! Yes, now I get angry of the position I had during taking the picture (sorry for my English...), you are right, a step more to the right... Well, I made a second version of the same picture, which I cropped as a square: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5526248 - which one would you like more? Link to comment
cdaunis 0 Posted January 30, 2007 I think I like the original better, the spires in the background help (for me) to balance the shot. Link to comment
vartanmartaian 0 Posted January 30, 2007 Another great shot from Dresden, Steffen. Congratulations! Link to comment
bgw 0 Posted January 31, 2007 The position is perfect from my perspective. There is only so much can be controlled before the image becomes too clinical. You have made all the suggestion of seperation of the model from the background with the control of light. Anything else removes the feeling of a creative moment during the session. Was the isolation of the model within the curves what you were trying? If so it's perfectly beautiful as it stands. Link to comment
basil_pope 0 Posted January 31, 2007 Ich muss zwar Dresden nochmal besichtigen! Sehr schoen. B. Link to comment
drache 0 Posted January 31, 2007 Once again a big thank you! I am very glad!!! @Malcolm: Yes, the isolation of her on the round thing was my intention. I want to bring the view from the church over the bridge to her... @Basil: Du bist herzlich willkommen! :-) Link to comment
