Winter Skies

Colin, this is a work of art. I love the way the water draws your eye to the tree and that sky is breath taking. Just needs a frame to hang it.

Looks like I'm really late to this one...sorry about that! Love the mood you've captured here. Excellent composition, beautiful muted colors. Very nice.

... this one is spectacular. The sense of movement in this, the receding wetlands, the bonsai-type tree, the cloud trails, everything leads to that light area on the horizon. Grand work. Have admired your stuff for awhile, but needed to come back and re-acquaint.

Awesome use of wide angle and another fantastic trademark sky of yours. Very nice.

Great sky. I guess you've already heard that a lot. I think the light and tree are exactly in the right place for compositional reasons. I would like to see the clouds in the upper portion, especially the upper right corner brought out a little more. Then again,... why ruin a good thing. Nice work.

This is just pure magic, Colin. The light and the perfect composition of repeting shapes of the sky on the ground... I wish I was there , I wish I saw it , I wish I could create such a perfect image...

This is by far the best winter sky I've seen and beats so many of the skies I've seen that were photographed in other seasons, too. The quality in this photo, as with so many of yours, is so high as to be very impressive. This one is very special. I feel a highly refined, etheral quality to this and all aspects of the photo go together to make this something more than a photo. It's a true beauty.
