sattler123 0 Posted January 30, 2007 Hi John, very good control of depth of field. I wish the large shadow wouldn't distract from the intended effect. I cannot figure out what would cast such a huge shadow from a violin - I assume it is something nearby that is blocking the light. I would redo this shot and eliminate that obstruction. It would be a great photograph! Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted January 31, 2007 Agree completely! It is a wonderful perspective and the lighting is really nice and controlled....except for that ..whatever it is in the foreground. It is worth doing again! Enjoyed it! Link to comment
freeelectron 0 Posted January 31, 2007 I am glad that you do enjoy my photo. The dark "shadow" in the foreground is not in fact a shadow. It is a chin rest of a violin. And somehow, I deliberately include this in my composition to increase the depth of the whole photo by contrasting the chin rest with the brighter bridge and that "S-shaped hole" in the middle of the photo. Anyway, really thank you for your comments and support. And do feel free to keep track on my porfolio. Regards. Link to comment
