jim umbaugh 0 Posted January 29, 2007 Nice picture and composition..Maybe stop down the apature for more detail and depth of field (particularly on the adjustment knobs)? and maybe a warming filter in PS to make the wood richer? Just suggestions, it would be fun to see both versions side by side. Link to comment
jan_piller 0 Posted January 29, 2007 I have to agree with James - either stop down and/or change the perspective of the shot somewhat as the tuning pegs are blurred and as well, the strings don't have enough definition. Leaning the instrument back just a bit would provide more definition in the strings and the scroll at the top thereby adding a bit more interest to the subject. Very pretty instrument! freeelectron 0 Posted January 31, 2007 Thank you for you comemnts. In fact, originally I chose a shallow DOF in order to focus on the red curly head of the violin, with the strings as the guiding lines. I agree that I may try to increase the DOF to show a better definition of the knobs. But for the strings, I still prefer to leave it blurred. What do you think? Regards. Link to comment
