ukpaul 0 Posted January 28, 2007 To me the picture has impact and is a good one. I have looked at it in Photoshop and tried cropping it in closer to her head and face. The thing that is special about the picture, to me, is the expression on her face. Personally I love portraits really go in close to the face. Having said all that I suspect that the thing is all about personal taste. I shall watch with interest to see if anyone else comes up with a real sure fire improvement. Unlikely! Link to comment
oneteacup 0 Posted January 28, 2007 Very nice shot. Perhaps I would have used less depth of field, make the portrait stand out in a more mysterious scenerio. Likewise, I would have blurred the image sligthly, make it more gostly. Perhaps you can make it sepia to give it an air of olden days. These are things that pop into my head. Regardless, it is a charming picture. Congratulations. Link to comment
phyrpowr 0 Posted January 28, 2007 Even though the branches are background, they give the impression to me of encroaching, and almost reaching out (too many horror movies maybe) Perhaps a full background blur? Great shot of the little girl though, so serious and grown up Link to comment
phyrpowr 0 Posted January 28, 2007 Here's a quick effort, also with the branch at brooch level "decontrasted", not so good but it's the idea I was trying to convey Link to comment
davidorea 1 Posted February 4, 2007 Another superb portrait, dear Candice. Her pose and expression are unique. Beautiful vestment, background and tones. Excellent use of light. She is lovely as always! Best regards! Link to comment
