krmhlz 0 Posted January 25, 2007 Larger view really makes a difference here. This a fine portrait. Love the soft, slightly dappled light. Link to comment
kent_barry 0 Posted January 26, 2007 I quite like this bird, as well. I like the angled pose and the detail with the tricky light and shadows. Link to comment

williammccarey 0 Posted January 26, 2007 With -25 wind chill factors in your backyard, the bird is probably frozen to the branch! But ignoring that, it is excellent. The bill is crisp but not oversharpened and I really ike the bright spot in the eye. Yep, this is a nice one. I tried to rate 7 for aesthetics, 7 for originality. PN forced me to rate 6/6. Sorry. Quit giving me 7s, will ya? Yours are better than mine! Link to comment
mary fran 0 Posted January 26, 2007 Thanks William, but I really liked yours, so I'll have to wait it out...if you have any more slammers put them up today so I can get my two week wait over with:)) Last fall I couldn't average a 5, so I'm pretty pleased and I have some beautiful prints to boot. So cold I dug up some summer shots, just posted a butterfly of all things, well it has wings...needed a color fix. Link to comment
