Figures

For a nude lanscape photography assignment, I shot this of someone's

feet instead. I'm curious to know what you guys think of this one.

Does it work or is it too bland? As always, I welcome brutual

criticism and/or nitpicking. Technical advices welcome. Thanks for

looking.

I would increase the contrast slightly, to bring out slightly darker tones.. good shot.

 

im not really into feet but this is a really beautiful photograph. I agree, a little bit more contrast would be nice. Well done!

i didn't even know it was the feet when i first saw it.

i don't know if the softness was on purpose, but...

I agree with the comments about the contrast, I'd also use just one foot, and have the model bend it a bit to hide the toe.

Thanks for all your comments and advices. The softness was intented but I'll have to try upping the contrast. Hiding the toe also seems like a great advice.

I disagree with the contrast suggestions. I like the soft grayscale gradiation going on. Any more contrast and the highlights that are already so high-key will be ruined. You have both pure black and pure white in the image. No more need for contrast. Compositionally it is a very interesting image. I too could not figure out what it was at first without reading your comment.

I agree with Allison, this picture needs no change.

Was it luck or a spike of genius?
