john_park1 0 Posted April 17, 2002 Something looks wierd with the boat masts and water/shore line. Not exactly sure. Maybe the water/shore line is too close to 1/2 of image? Link to comment
garrett_hubing 0 Posted April 21, 2002 I don't think it looks weird at all. The twin masts make for a very interesting shot despite its typicality as a skyline at dusk shot. The colors are nice as well. I would be able to add more if I could see a higher quality file, but that's what I see in this one. Link to comment
brendon 0 Posted April 28, 2002 This is a very lovely image because of its placid composition (even if vertical) and the wonderful colors. Link to comment
david yama 0 Posted May 17, 2002 I like the boats in this image, it makes it more interesting than the typical skyline shot. I was thinking maybe a grad nd filter dark side down would make this even better by allowing the city lights to come out more. The warm glow of the lights on the boats is very pleasing, it offsets the cool blue of the sky. Wonderful photo. Link to comment
jerrymat 5 Posted May 17, 2002 Indeed a wonderful photo. One way to analyze composition is to be aware of how one's eyes move over the image: mine go immediately to the orange boats, travel up the masts to the skyscrapers, go left and right amongst the buildings, then travel back to the boats and repeat. The fact that I do this several times means the composition holds my attention. After some thought I believe that the composition would be yet stronger if the partial boat and single building on the left were cropped out. Link to comment
