arash khoshghadam 0 Posted January 22, 2007 Charles this is an absolutely captivating shot of a butterfly from a totally innovative angle. The dim lighting has created medium value to low-value hues and tones. The shot is perfectly balanced in what is called balance through shape and texture with the butterfly possessing distinct shape and texture that balances a large less complicated area. The diagonal line that goes through the flower(?) has given this shot energy and vividness. The butterfly wings have also produced diagonal lines.since your shot is consisted of shapes and the motifs here are mainly shape-oriented, I suggest a balck and white that takes away color to emphasize forms.
