arash khoshghadam 0 Posted January 20, 2007 Hi Ola I like this image since it demonstrates several graphic details. The clash of lines especially in the illuminated-board region has produced emphasis. The diagonal cloud leading to the tableau. the diagonal railing does the same plus creating a leading angular line that emphasizes the presence of the boards. The darkening of the other otherwise distractive elements in the frame has left two illuminated regions. One, that of the sky; two, that of the boards, but since the boards are more intricate in texture ( texture being the informative words ) the visual importance is transferred in this direction. Your shot is very ppowerful in emphasis and balance. I have a suggestion thoug; you could angle a little bit more to the left to reduce the amount of the underexposed profile of the building at the right edge standing against the illuminated sky. That is a little bit distracting. The move would also leave more space on the left and since the board is pointing in that direction, the viewer's eyes move in that direction too clasing with the left frame edge very soon.
