Hi Joe, this is a good shot and you perfectly timed it and froze the surfer at the best moment of his move, but I don't agree with the croping... As a surfer, I think the most important thing in surfing is the wave and I would like to see more of it not just the surfer full frame in my face... just my opinion thought. Did your crope it on Photoshop or was it taken with a uge lens? best regards

Thanks for the comments so far. Edward - I have never used the D80, but I am very happy with the D200. Highly recommended. Donald - I agree surfers enjoy seeing the entire wave. This fellow happened to ride a wave close into shore and I was fortunate to get a quick shot with a 300/4 lens and a 1.7x teleconverter (effective 510mm). I did crop the photo a bit. If you go to my website smallcrowd.com and look at the surf_jan15 photos, you will see the uncropped version. Thanks again for the kind words.
