I was mostly digital but I brought a couple rolls of velvia slide film along and this was one of the shots produced with film. Submitted 7:45 PM

Stunning is the right word, this is beautiful. I haven't visited your portfolio in a while, you were great last time I was here and you have improved beyond that! These shots are spectacular!

Beautifully saturated colors, Tony. Even with the ominous clouds, it still has an inviting, warm and fiery glow. Picture-perfect postcard!

Great sunset here. I really like the colors in the sky. The red in the midground really makes this a vivid shot.

I would have been excited to be there also, this is so lovely, wonderful warm earth tones and that cold blue dramatic sky....oh wow. Very well composed Tony.

very nice scenery. Lovely warm light and colors and nice dramatic sky. Very nice composition. I like the contrast between the dark moody sky and the warm light in the ground. Well seen and captured. Regards - michel

A brilliant landscape, with captivating colours and shadows. This is one for the wall, for sure.

Just trying to aspire and be inspired by the standard set by many photographers on PN. Thanks for your generous endorsement of this image. Have a great day and remind you what my mother would say: "early to bed - early to rise'. Hope no one misinterprets this. (*_*)

Thank you very much for your generous rating and comment - both are appreciated.

Picked up a British magazine today called "Digital Photo" which says on the front page: "How to be a Photoshop + Camera Expert". Hope I won't have to sue them for false advertizing. Been a long day and will be turning in soon.

I am totally jealous! When I was there, the mountain was hiding. This is an amazing image with a great sky ... and the colors are so unlike the "typical" Denali shot. Congratulations!

Thanks for your comment and don't be jealous. One of the curses and blessings of a photographer is that you could visit the same place 100 times (I have done it in a place 10 minutes from where I live) and it will never be quite the same. I am grateful for the few lucky ones I got in Alaska. A year later, I now know my D70 a little better and I have acquired a few other skills but I am sure if I return there next year in the Fall, I won't see this again. All the best for 2008.
