Excellent image of one of the meaner birds out there...fantastic depth of field. Some may say the subject is too centralized in the photo but it doesn't really bother me. Good work!

Beautiful. Very good focus, nice relatively quiet and out-of-focus background, perfect exposure. The branch makes a decorative curvature through the image and for once, I don't think the bird is too central in this shot. Regards, Dieter

Deiter, I quivered after I posted this and looked at the crop, and was braced for a "center-it-itis" treatment, I'm so relieved....It has only taken me six weeks of trying to get a clean shot of one of these guys in a position that catches their colors and no major background distractions.. They are very very skittish and darn smart too. It was getting personal, you know--name calling etc...

The bird really isn't in the middle if you go from the edge of the beak to the edge of the tail. It is more to the left......love the photo anyway. Good job

Nice blue against the gray (sounds like a football game). I like everything about this shot. What is that tiny white dot between the bills?

It is a piece of peanut that must have come off his beak when he opened his mouth. The rest of it is between his claws. This is exactly why mom said never talk with a mouthfull...
