mike_palermiti 3 Posted August 3, 2011 Hi Joseph,Nice capture.I like the perspective taken to capture this shot.I like the natural lighting, as the highlights and shadows are very natural in their appearance. The focus is sharp at the center of the frame, with some decrease to the bottom , the right side and lower right corner. Perhaps the auto focus choose was nearest to you or the f-stop used did not allow for enough DOF to cover all the scene area. Then again, you might have wanted to present the main curled rock as the primary subject, allowing for the fall of to happen. For shots at closer range or higher zoom levels, I like to use manual focus mode and try one or two f-stop settings for the best DOF.Best Regards, Mike Link to comment
joe_marsh 0 Posted August 3, 2011 Hi Mike. This was one of my first shots taken with this camera. Most probably I was too excited playing with the settings. Actually this photo I had taken for my first competition in the club. Thanks Mike. Regards Link to comment
