Difficult light makes the picture look somewhat flat. Placing the shadow exactly at the line of the arches was an fine idea, but it may also be interesting to compare this photo with the same frame caught 15, 30 and 45 minutes later.

This still is a very nice image. Considering all the angles and arches, you did a fine job of editing. Appears to be a fascinating place to explore!

Kind regards, Gail

Hi Joseph,

The focus is set properly for this scene.

The image is well shot considering the lighting.

I like the composition and presentation, too.

The contrast can be managed in post processing as I have attached an example.

Best Regards,  Mike

Hi Joseph, you are welcome.

I only try to make suggestions and show examples on good images. Your image is very good and it can be displayed in many different ways.

I was attracted to it by your presentation. When I examined your image, I felt I could do something a bit different to give it more "snap".

Here is what I did in Photoshop CS5:

1] I used the Highlight /Shadow tool to bring up the right side level

2] Then I increased the contrast across the entire scene

3] I did a little sharpening, very mild.

4] I finished it by a slight noise reduction, since the use of many tools will often invoke noise, even at low ISO settings.

Best Regards,  Mike
