jan_piller 0 Posted January 8, 2007 What I have learned about bird photos is that it is important to keep the eye in focus - you have succeeded! I think the wind blows the feathers and so it is hard to keep them sharp (I have feather pics on my portfolio taken indoors and they still blew around!)So you have done really well here!! Dieter Schaefer 20,317 Posted January 8, 2007 Focus appears to be good, the white appears a little overexposed. I find the wing showing to be a distraction and somehow the composition appears off; I guess a bit more space above the head would have me focus on the eye first rather than the open beak. As a side, this is the second photo today I had to download first to view the larger version; I doubt that anybody has a monitor large enough to view a 4900x3850 image all at once and having to scroll around just doesn't do it for me. PN instruction clearly state that images should be no more than 1024 in the largest dimension. Link to comment
columbo 0 Posted January 9, 2007 Birds are never the easiest thing to photograph for sure, you have done well, I TO THINK A LITTLE MORE SKY ABOVE THE HEAD WOULD HAVE HELPED A LITTLE HERE, I have a few of these birds on my portfolio and I had the same issues as you, but you have done well Link to comment
