DELETE THIS ACCOUNT 0 Posted January 5, 2007 Interesting colours, values, and textures (in particular the drier part of the beach). I wonder if the bright dash of light distracts from the main subject matter in this - perhaps experiement with crops that exclude most or all of the brightest values in the sky? Link to comment
momente 0 Posted January 5, 2007 The kind of shot I used to rate very high. And although I've grown perhaps a little bit older and worn, this image of yours shows a place and a time I wish I had known, personally. And for that I thank you. Link to comment
darius.tulbure 0 Posted January 6, 2007 First I didn`t click on the thumbnail when it was in the critique forum just because one big flaw it has: the overexposed left part of the sky which from the start is not a good thing, flaw which is aggravated by the post processing. My lucky guess is that you dragged down the output levels for the highlights in Photoshop, or even worse, you used the burn tool setting it to affect the highlights` range. It is such a pitty though - it is a very nice photo. You need to accept the unleveled one, to clone out the burned out areas or to simply crop the image. Now that I`ve seen this photo in the TRP, I felt compelled to make this comment. Link to comment
jasonsmith894 0 Posted January 8, 2007 Thank you for all the comments on the photo. I'll consider cropping the image to reduce the overexposed area on the left. Link to comment
