how do you feel about the two trees in front? They seem to be acting as some kind of barrier here. ken

Normally I would agree, however I really wanted to evoke a feeling of Christmas by have the small pines in the frame. Thanks for your comment however, I really appreciate you taking the time.

This is a magical scene under a surreal light. I love the soft understated colors. I think what Ken may be pointing out is that the two trees are cut off at the bottom and placed at the entrance of the image. While the sky is most interesting, the horizon may be too close to the middle of the frame. Moving the horizon up would bring the two trees into the the lower left intersection of thirds, allowing an entrance from the bottom right and placing the horizon along the upper third parallel. I was immediately attracted to this image, however, because of its subtle beauty. Despite my overly technical critique,
