tylerwind 0 Posted January 10, 2007 Alan--I honestly don't see anything in this shot that I would consider really bad flare. In short though, you are shooting at the sun (which I do in 85% of my shots)...the higher the sun is above the horizon, the worse the flare and also I get terrible lens reflections in my shots. I find that if you are shooting with your lens pointing at the sun you have about 10 minutes after the sun comes up and about 10 minutes before it ducks down to get your shots in. One thing to try though it to shoot several angles and compositions--sometimes you can avoid the glare or get it in a place you can easily crop it out. I like this shot though--nice silhouette and your golden glow on the water is very nice. Well done my friend! Link to comment
