brianhamill 0 Posted January 4, 2007 Jeff, This is stunning. The three horizontal bands of the composition are interesting. But I do wonder about the bottom fifth of the picture. If there were some larger piece of foreground interest (eg driftwood) I think you might get away with the composition as it stands. However, the small object which sits there at the moment breaks up the mood of the picture above it, and niggles somewhat becoming more of a distraction rather than adding value. I think I would opt to crop it out. But a beautiful photo all the same. Best Brian Link to comment
richard van hoesel 0 Posted January 4, 2007 Beautiful Jeff. Lovely conditions elegantly portrayed. The only slight distraction for me too is those dark 'blobs' in the foreground. Although I find the longer I look at the image, the less they intrude, my initial reaction was certainly to try to eliminate them. Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted January 5, 2007 What is interesting Jeff, is that the sky pattern has some similarity to the rocks forms... very nice composition again, I like the delicate light and the shadow and reflections in the water. I would have cloned out the small stones, as I think they don't add to the composition which is very rich without. Link to comment
mikestacey 0 Posted January 6, 2007 Really quite amazing these formations Jeff and another good depiction. I'd agree about the weed and stuff in fg. The burst of light on the horizon certainly provides another dimension to the image. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted January 6, 2007 Fantastic light and colors, well composed seascape. I go with the crowd here and prefer it with clean foreground, however, I can imagine the start of an S curve from the LL corner with them, after looking for a while Link to comment
