01-01-2006 "The Meglo" a local property seemingly under attack from

some serious lightning strikes. There is a car going along Quambone

road at the back of the property and is leaving a streak of light

along the horizon. Any comments or rating are welcome, Toby.

i so want to give u a higher rating... but unfortunately i see so many things that could have easily been changed to make this an amazing pic...

i realise that you are probably constrained bcoz of equipment, but since u have been able to get a perfectly timed shot, i would recommend moving closer and getting rid of the annoying white wall... the tree too is not adding anything (primarily bcoz its blurred.. but in general i dont think it will work there)...

i think just the road leading to the site where the lightning hit and the 3 gorgeous streaks set against the blue sky would do...

To go closer would mean going onto private property, as I did not have permission and the conditions were getting violent then this is the site quickly decided upon. The tree is blurred because of the wind and a 15 second exposure time, it's also why the lights from the vehicle goes so far. The shot is not so perfectly timed, I took 42 shots to get 5 shots I consider acceptable, basically aim at the storm and set camera for longest possible duration at f8 and iso64, set timer and pray for lightning during exposure time, rough but it worked, Toby
