sebastjan 0 Posted December 31, 2006 Somehow I like this photo very much. The only thing that disturbs me, is to hard light. Everything else is just perfect. Regards Link to comment
rapo 0 Posted December 31, 2006 You're right, Sebastjian, it was a sunny april day (good to think it will come back some day!), and the light was pretty hard. But actually, I have the feeling that it fits well with the brass band music. Thanks for your comment. Link to comment
kentb2 0 Posted January 2, 2007 Well as you probably would have guessed I like the hard light. I think hard light can offer powerful photo opportunities and results. I actually think that?s a little of what?s going on here. More so for me however is the wonderful contrast and juxtaposition of activities colliding in frame. The joyful and light-hearted musicians delighting in their craft while the tightly (and nicely) cropped runner strains with open mouth and striated muscles, lunging through frame. The only nit pick would be to straighten the frame but my guess is, in so doing you would lose too much of the runners face???? Cool shot Philippe. Link to comment
rapo 0 Posted January 2, 2007 Kent, I'm very happy with your comment. I'm actually not used to hard lights. I'm experimenting with them, and I think that there is huge oppportunities.I understand what you say for the framing... but can't find any good solution here. Link to comment

andreas tsonides 0 Posted January 7, 2007 Very nice example of street photography, where different things are happening at the same time. I like the framing of your composition, perhaps Kent is right about the tilt frame but not much you can do there. Link to comment
