bjcarlton 0 Posted December 29, 2006 Great mood. The washed-out effect for the interior works well. The empty room suggests a whole story. Link to comment

aeaster 0 Posted December 29, 2006 Occasionally here on P.nut I come across genuine photography. Thank you Dana for providing the experience. Link to comment
bjcarlton 0 Posted December 29, 2006 Looking at each other . . . would be trite. This is much more interesting. Besides, he's looking at her and she's either enjoying it, or thinking of something else entirely. As I said before, the picture conjures up stories. Link to comment
graham john miles 0 Posted December 29, 2006 I like the vintage Brassai feel to this image. The softness and grain combine to give it a wonderful dreamlike quality, something imagined in that interval between sleep and awake. My compositional instinct (whose presence makes itself felt by a slight tightening of the shoulders) wants to see the full name in the window but if it was a quick grab, I'll have to shrug off the feeling. It actually works pretty good with the top letters cropped out leaving only the word Trattoria. Link to comment
