ctgorczyca 0 Posted December 29, 2006 nice image, just one thing though would be to clone out the light spot in the shadow of the gravel area where you seamed them together, good job Link to comment
edward_wright1 0 Posted December 29, 2006 Greetings J. Glenn, Hey; I can not see how this only rates 3 either, my guess is that they have never tried to polish out an entire airplane before (That is worth at least a 10 by itself!) I had to look twice at your picture to verify that there was not a partial reflection from some water or something; very clever idea. Of course since you thought of doing it, I am going to suggest setting the airplane wheel blocks as the reflection point; but what you did made me look twice, and more closely at that. I like your picture and the cloning. 5/6 Link to comment
gpew 0 Posted December 29, 2006 Another good idea, Edward. Thank you. I started with the idea that I would try to simulate a mirage, or standing water, but found this immediately appealing and with the polish of the skin, it made sense to me. Thanks for taking time to write. Much appreciated! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 30, 2006 Mirroring in PS is quite easy. Still, it works quite well here. If it was a real mirror image the angle would be different for the mirror image (it would be like upside down, below the ground, seen from the same point). I've done the PS-mirror trick and also a real mirror trick with a model car. I took a flat owen plate, poured some 5 mm water on it and placed the model on the edge. (A mirror did not give good enough reflection). Then it was just tuning with lights. You can see it here. Of course real size objects like a Mustang requires the right direction sun after a rainy moment or a ton of water from the hose.Come to think of it, this is also a real mirror. Link to comment
gnashings 5 Posted January 2, 2007 corny, gimmick. What was the point? The fact that so many people find this impressive makes me re-think the amount of faith I should have in humanity... Link to comment
