charles_seef 0 Posted December 29, 2006 Fun shot with good background. Might consider adding more contrast. I'll bet the wraith will jump out. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted January 4, 2007 The whole image is soft, but that's what has given this photograph all of that serious drama and this very amazing form. I really enjoyed viewing this work and wishing you all of the best www.camerause.com Link to comment
aslavihervuori 0 Posted January 4, 2007 I also wish there was more contrast. Othervise very good. Aslo I like that large dark cloth draws more attention towards its hands and skull... No ratings, a s l a Link to comment
kali goddess 0 Posted January 4, 2007 Thank you everyone for your comments! This is how I learn. As for this photo, it is an old one I did on film and scanned in the print as is. I will attempt to correct it as indicated and repost later. Thanks again! Link to comment
jimmcnitt 0 Posted January 7, 2007 This is such a compelling image I couldn't resist re-jiggering it a little in PS to emphasize the powerful mood you captured. The steps were 1) Hue-Saturation>Colorize at about 204 with a 50% desaturation level 2) duplicated the image layer, offset the underlying layer about 10 pixels, and then used a reveal all layer mask to selectively paint through the face and edges to create a slight "blurr." It's because of guys like this that I never go out at night without a wreath of garlic and a wooden stake--jim Link to comment
kali goddess 0 Posted January 7, 2007 Wow! neat effect. Thanks for sharing Jim. And don't worry, if you actually saw the guy under the mask you'd probably laugh (at the comparison). He's a friend of mine who is really short and kinda nerdy (not meant in a bad way- almost all of my friends refer to themselves as nerds). But not at all scary without the mask! He was a good sport to model for me though. So - no need for garlic. :-) Link to comment
