suhailyazid 0 Posted January 5, 2007 vintage looks, good lighting and a beautiful expression makes this pic a winner. the blurred foreground causes distraction on the right side. Link to comment
paulduss 0 Posted January 9, 2007 I like the idea, the expression and the light of course, but I'm particularly impressed by the deep and strong b&w here (and elsewhere in your portfolio). Would you care to share some technical post-processing details with a fellow Rebel XT user? :) Very nice shot indeed! Link to comment
ekaterina oniani 0 Posted January 10, 2007 I'm surprised, to say the truth :) This photo is shot in a very dark room, there was just a little light above the mirror. There is not any special tool used in photoshop, I just moved "levels" and curves:) regards, Eka Link to comment
jasonwilliamsphotography 0 Posted January 10, 2007 Wonderful, glamourous shot, nice light and tones, great composition and expression, excellent shot! Link to comment
paulduss 0 Posted January 10, 2007 No Channel mixer at all? Well, the original exposure is obviously very well-balanced, but you sure got the touch with Curve and Levels!... The tones of the reflections on the glasses, the shirt's collar and the cheek are superb IMO. And your model's expression is perfect for this setting. Congrats! Link to comment
sideris 0 Posted January 13, 2007 Another gem among your gems. Formidable photo of a beautiful woman. Link to comment
billysyk 0 Posted January 25, 2007 this mirror should replace it's position with this photo. Just excellent job! Link to comment
bogdanteodorov 0 Posted January 25, 2007 very nice bw and crop. my favorite from your port. Link to comment
ekaterina oniani 0 Posted January 25, 2007 Thanks to everybody, again :) Dear Paul: here is original file, just resized. Of course, I made it in BW with channel mixer, and then curves and levels + sharp. To say the truth, that's all I know in photoshop :D I think the black tones, you've mentioned, is caused by lights and not by postprocessing. because, I've tryied several times to recieive the same result (please see my Dry Lake series), but all in vain :) Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 25, 2007 So wonderful Lady and superb in B&W :) love her look in the mirror dear Ekaterina. Excellent photograph! and please try to buy the 50mm/1.8 very cheap but very good lens! Biliana Link to comment
ekaterina oniani 0 Posted January 27, 2007 Thank you for good advice, I have already bought it, this photo is shot exactly with 50mm, 1.8. That's really very good lens. :)) Link to comment
inoneeye 8,825 Posted January 29, 2007 classic. face, expression and composition are masterly. Technically flawless. if this was taken as a portrait of a friend ... she scored. I hope this photo will have visibility in 50-100 years. Link to comment
