brine_kelleher 0 Posted April 6, 2002 I like this a lot, but not for the reasons you took the photo i'm guessing. It has a major grounding in black and white, punk rock, cut and paste, zerox design that draws me to it. Just thought i'd share that with you. Link to comment
david_boutte 0 Posted April 9, 2002 I've received ctiticism that the buildings can't actually be seen--- only the lights are visible. I kind of like that effect and just want your opinions. Link to comment
paul_norman_dicaire 0 Posted April 9, 2002 I'm not sure if this was the intended effect (lights visible but not the buildings). Try double exposing the same shot. The first at dusk, exposing for the buildings while the buildings are still visible, the second exposure, after dark and exposing only for the lights. This requires that the camera and tripod remain in the same position for both exposures, which can sometimes be hours apart. Bring some food... Link to comment
rick vincent 1 Posted April 9, 2002 If this is the effect you were going for, you might have chosen to black out some of the little white blips in the sky (airplanes?). They distract from the twin towers...The twin towers don't really jump out in this picture as the behemoth buildings that they actually were. I look forward to seeing more artistic views of the World Trade Center by anyone out there who had a chance to visit and photograph these awesome structures. Link to comment
