This is a slightly different version of the photo that I just posted. I like the angle better, with

the road being off-centered. The merge of the 3 photos used for this one came out sharper,

as well. Thank you for your comments/critiques! Regina

Regina- Yes I think the road looks better in this one as well as the towers in the background. To me the other was too centered with everything, but not at all bad just not as interesting as this one. Great mix of lighting and wide range of tones. Nice comp and good stitching! Sweet!

Very well done! I saw your response to a tone-mapped image earlier and had to check you out... you certainly know how to handle this technique. I am finding more and more people who are having success with these distant landscape shot merges. Great stuff and keep going - this is beautiful! Glenn

Regina, I prefer this version also. The curve of the road is larger and contrasts to the curve of the base of the majestic rock outcrop more. Great shot!

Magnificent landscape, the composition holds together perfectly. I do have a minor nitpick, the more contrast by darkening the shadows would make it pop more, they do look unnaturally light, perhaps a result from merging exposures.

I love this shot. The color and composition are great. I love the way the movement in the clouds in the upper left brings my eye back down into the frame where it runs around the pinnacles and the down around the road then back to the pinnacles. Beautiful, seamless compositing of images as well. Bravo.

Everything comes together here, exposure, lighting, composition, subject matter, timing, etc. Probably my favorite image of the month, maybe better. Thanks Regina for being there!!

Regina, wonderful composition ! There are more semicircles that lead us through the image and we stay there wondering about the beauty of this place 7/7/ jana

The inclusion of the road is a nice compositional addition to this pristine area. The colors are of course exceptional.

Hi Regina,

Thanks for the comment on my portfolio. I read your little bio, and I must say, I admire you for being able to just pack up and leave the city to move across country and be close to nature. My wife and I live near LA, and while we have good jobs and enjoy a comfortable life, what I enjoy most is also being near nature. I hope one day we can make a similar move!

This is a beautiful photo, which really captures Zion's magic. Really nice exposure control. Anyway, I've been to Zion 3 times now and have seen your shop. I hope to come again this spring!

Eye-popping shot! I really like the road despite my usual inclination to exclude man-made objects in such stunning scenery. Can't wait to cruise through the rest of your portfolio.

This is an amazing image. I love the golden tones you've captured. The light is just wonderful. The road, as you said, off-centered gives a special touch to this wonderful view of that place. Congratulations Regina.

Best regards.
